How many times have you sat and wondered why things happen the way they do? I'm assuming a lot... Well so have I. There are times when I question why we have to lose the people we love. What's the point of life if it can be easily snatched by death? The amount of pain it brings is to this day unmatched, unbearable. It leaves our hearts bleeding and eyes flooded.

The worst part about losing someone is that no matter how much you weep or how loud you scream, that person will never come back to life. They will be gone to a place known by no man alive. Unfortunately, it's a part of life that's unavoidable, none of us is spared. Although people die everyday, death is still something we can never get used to.

At the age of 12, I lost someone very dear to me. She left with a part of me and nothing could ever fill that void. They said time heals all wounds, and it did, but there is no remedy for the vivid memories of that person. Time didn't make me stop missing her, not even.

We don't know how much time we have here on earth, we also don't know how long our loved ones will live. That's why it is best to appreciate people now, tell them you love and care for them, spend time with them... Tomorrow is not promised. Believe me, you don't want to remain saying “Only if...” when they are gone.

The only thing you're gonna be able to hold on to would be your memories of them and old photographs. You'll think about their sweet giggles or annoyingly loud laughs. You'll remember the stupidest things you did together and all the awkward moments. All those moments will replay in your head like a stuck cassette. And when you listen to certain songs, you'll cry. No scale could measure the amount of pain you'll be feeling.

Even when you're still in denial, it will hit you when you witness the casket being lowered, 6ft under. My message is, Cherish life, Cherish your people.
